Shipping within Canada:

Items are shipped via Canada Post and come with tracking.
Shipping to the USA:

Items are shipped via Canada Post or FedEx and come with tracking.
International Shipping (Worldwide):

Items are shipped via Canada Post or FedEx and come with tracking.
We ship to most countries worldwide, however there are a handful of countries we don’t ship to due to restrictions or customs regulations.
Shipping Insurance
Jewellery over $2,000 CAD shipped within Canada and the US are fully-insured and require a signature upon receipt. All international shipments are insured wherever possible. Please review local laws before purchase.
Taxes & Duties
We charge Canadian provincial sales tax on orders placed within Canada. For US and international orders: any duties and local taxes charged at customs are the receiver's responsibility. We suggest researching your country’s customs duties and taxes before purchase.
Accepted Payment Methods
Arsaeus Designs accepts payments through Paypal, any major credit and debit cards, as well as Interac e-Transfers. All prices are in Canadian dollars ($CAD).
Craftsmanship Guarantee & 1 Year Warranty
(Gold Wedding Rings & Custom Orders)
We stand behind our craftsmanship! We offer a 1 year warranty for our gold wedding/engagement rings and custom orders that covers your first free sizing, any repairs due to any material or fabrication defects, and any small stone loss. We include a certificate of authenticity/appraisal for you to give your insurance provider. Additional fees will apply for any repairs or adjustments made after 1 year of purchase.
During the custom development process we will inform you about the best design and material options to ensure lifetime durability for your piece. The gold and stones are also checked for defects during the process and before final handoff.
Coverage Within the 1st Year:
- If your piece requires repair due to a defect in materials or fabrication, the repair will be done free of charge.
- If your piece is noticeably damaged due to an accident, shows signs of improper care, or is damaged in any other manner, repairs will be made at a cost.
- If small stones (2mm and smaller) are lost they will be replaced free of charge.
- Ring sizing is complimentary.
- Refinishing items is complimentary.
After 1 Year:
- If your piece has become damaged, or deteriorated over time with normal daily wear-and-tear - repair charges will apply.
- If your piece has become damaged due to an accident, shows signs of improper care, or is damaged in any other manner - repairs will be made at a cost.
- Losing small stones after 1 year - repairs and replacements will be made at a cost.
- Ring sizing due to weight gain or loss, body changes or switching fingers after 1 year - alteration / repair charges will apply.
Center stones are not covered under our warranty. Always remove your jewellery during heavy activity - any stone, even a diamond, can be chipped during an accident or if hit against a tough surface. Please visit our jewellery care page for more information.
If any alterations or repairs are made to your piece by another jeweller outside our studio, the warranty may be voided and additional fees may apply. We are not responsible for any damages that may occur during re-sizing or repairs made outside our studio.
Certificate of Authenticity
A certificate of authenticity/appraisal is included with all purchased items and custom orders over $2,000 CAD. If you would like an appraisal for your piece (under $2,000 CAD) we can provide that service for an additional $90 CAD. Our jewellery is appraised by a gemology specialist and you will receive a document detailing all the materials, metal, quality/specs of the stone(s) included in the piece: (the gold karat and the amount in grams, stone measurements, weight, other specifications, and replacement value).
We do not sell insurance for your jewellery in cases of loss or damage. We highly recommend insuring your jewellery under a homeowners/renters insurance policy with your appraisal provided.
One Free Ring Re-sizing (Gold Wedding Rings & Custom Orders)
If your wedding/custom ring doesn't fit you just right, we offer a one-time first sizing complimentary within the first year of purchase. This may be the case if the ring is a surprise, so we expect some tweaking may be required. We still recommend doing the best you can to get the ring size right the first time. Additional fees will apply to any size adjustments after 1 year of purchase or for multiple adjustments made.
Clients who live outside Toronto/International are responsible for shipping the ring back to our studio and possible duty costs, for re-sizing needed. Or we suggest using your local jewellery store for sizing for convenience. We are not responsible for any damages that may occur during re-sizing outside our studio.
Policies
Rush Production
If you need your jewellery by a specific date, we will do our best to accommodate! Please be sure to tell us in advance with enough lead time. Any custom work requested sooner than our typical production time (4-10 weeks) will be subject to a rush order fee. Keep in mind every piece is individually designed and handmade, therefore not all rush requests are possible to fulfill.
Repairs & Alterations
We are happy to repair your Arsaeus handmade jewellery within 3 months of purchase. Beyond 3 months, your jewellery is subject to daily wear and tear and repair charges will apply accordingly. There is no guarantee on plated items. While every item is plated with a thicker than average layer, every person’s individual chemical makeup and skin reactions can cause different effects on gold plating that are out of our control. Please visit our jewellery care page for more information on how to keep your pieces looking their best.
Our 1 year warranty for gold wedding/engagement rings and custom orders covers repairs due to any structural defects and any small stone loss. Additional fees will apply for any repairs or adjustments made after 1 year of purchase, or for repairs that do not qualify under our warranty.
Alteration requests (like adding more accent stones or a hammer-texture finish) may be made after the piece is completed at a cost. Alterations will be determined on a case-by-case scenario. Depending on the request, the piece may have to be re-made and charges will apply accordingly.

Client is responsible for shipping the item back to our studio and possible duty costs for the repair, alteration or re-make.

Return Policy
All items purchased online are final sale. Please ensure you are satisfied with your item choice prior to purchasing. Due to the nature of our handmade jewellery, we do not accept returns or exchanges.
All Arsaeus custom made orders are final sale and are non-refundable, as they are made one-of-a-kind specifically for you. We confirm all your details and estimates for your custom project prior to creating your piece. We also update you in the process along the way to ensure you are happy with your concept. Please ask as many questions as needed to ensure you are satisfied with your choices. Any deposits, partial payments, and rush fees are non-refundable for work completed. Any alteration requests after the piece is completed will be subject to fees.
