In Greek mythology, the Minotaur is a creature with the head of a bull on the body of a man. King Minos of Crete confined the Minotaur to labyrinth, where he lived out his days.
At nine-year intervals, the King demands from Athens to send over seven young girls and seven boys to be devoured by the Minotaur.
One year, Theseus, a young Athenian, volunteers himself to the sacrifice and slays the beast.
